Its location was great and stunning, in kandy's mountain, and in a nice enough area. Besides, Royal Palace of Kandy was 4 km away from the property.

The Royal Tented Suite offered culinary delights! The fixed Sri Lankan menu was fabulous, a real taste exploration. The staff were super accommodating, even managing to serve dinner upon our late arrival. The outdoor seating area was perfect for unwinding, surrounded by nature's beauty.
Despite the shining service, the room left much to be desired. The decor felt mismatched, and the cleanliness was a bit of a letdown. Plus, the lack of views and the damp balcony due to monkeys.

Fresh and varied breakfast, best ever had, with a lovely view, fresh coffee and lovely fruit. The room was tidy, modern and had a balcony, a mobile and a mobile phone...
The staff were incredibly rude, didn't expect that coming.

The elephant stables is really beautifull! We loved the tent suite, it was so cozy and not what u expect from a tent. Breakfast was yummyy with loads of options, and we really liked the egg hoppers! The staff is super friendly, even the chef comes out to chat about his dishes. Plus, the tortoises around the hotel are cute!
Only downside was the wifi was a bit slow sometimes. There were some bugs in the tent which wasn't great.

Magical Kandy nights ✨
So, staying in the Royal Tented Suite was a total dream! The staff were super friendly. The food? Lekker! Every meal was a hit. Plus, the surrounding nature is just fine, made for the perfect relax spot after a busy day in Kandy.
Only downside was that the WiFi was a bit slow at times, but whatever, I was too busy enjoying myself!

Staying at The Elephant Stables was a wonderful experience! The unique design of the hotel stood out, with its mix of traditional and modern elements. The Royal Tented Suite offered an excellent outdoor seating area that was perfect. Staff members were attentive. Nihal, in particular, provided really good service. I enjoyed breakfast each morning, where the delicious coconut rotis were a highlight. The views of Kandy from the balcony were amazing. I did notice a couple of bugs in the tent, which could be addressed for better comfort. While the room was spacious, it could have used a bit more attention to cleanliness in specific areas. These minor inconveniences didn't overshadow my experience.

Had a blast with my friends here! The views were amazing, especially from the pool area. It was a great spot to unwind after visiting the nearby Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and enjoying some local carrom games. The staff were super friendly and. Highly recommend the onsite chef's food!
The only downside was finding the location. Tuk-tuk drivers seemed a bit confused about where to take us the first time.

wonderful stay with small room for improvement
I loved the tranquil garden view, and the outdoor dining area was such a refreshing escape. The bedroom, with a beautiful four-poster bed, was very attractive and comfortable. The chef impressed with the delicious Sri Lankan curry. Each dish was bursting with flavor and creativity.
The room could have used a bit more attention to cleanliness.

A charming escape with fine views
I had a lovely two-night stay with an amazing view over the valley, and the garden was beautifully done with interesting vintage cars. The highlight for me was the dining experience, especially the Sri Lankan set menu that was bursting with flavor! I felt the rooms could have been a bit cleaner. There were some areas that could use more attention.

The hotel is located in the hills outside a popular Buddhist temple, offering great views of the surroundings. Rooms are spacious and clean, with tasteful decor and colonial throwbacks. the staff are friendly and accommodating, and the hotel offers great facilities like a pool and outdoor areas to relax in.
Some guests have reported issues with cleanliness and overpricing, with some extras not being mentioned in the menu. It's unfortunate that they've had a problem with ants and mosquitoes in some areas due to lack of cleaning.
